| Résumé : |
The seabed is where 80% of earthquake epicentres and submarine volcanic eruptions occur. Through these impressive manifestations, we know that our planet is constantly evolving, seeking its own balance in the universe. These volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, which ean themselves be devastating, cause another natural disaster (tsunami) when they occur near the ocen. The volcanic phenomena that trigger tsunamis are many and varied, the most notable being: the shallow underwater explosion, the arrival of pyroclastic or laher flows at sea or the collapse of a part of a building or caldera at sea. While seismic are therefore the result of movementsalong active faults, particularly those delimiting the plates. Submarine or sub-air landslides are another tsunamigenic factor that is often associated with earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. |
